Product catalogues: 17,000 referencesOur client needed to translate more than 17,000 references from Spanish to Polish. To make it possible we assembled a team of two translators and an editor who worked simultaneously thanks to the use of memoQ Server, our on-line translation assistance tool.
High number of repetitions and product codesIn order to provide a competitive quote compared to other translation vendors, we offered a large discount on 60 % of the contents which were repetitions. We have the technical capacity to be able to offer this type of discount for combinations in which we work with freelance translators thanks to the use of memoQ Server. This software allows us to offer translators an optimal user interface and share the translation database which is created in real time for the work team.
In order to efficiently manage and guarantee that no mistakes were made when writing the high number of references appearing in the text, AbroadLink's technical team tagged and blocked these references using memoQ's advanced options. Handling the tags in this way allowed the translators to introduce alphanumeric references of up to ten digits at the simple push of a button. More importantly, by handling the source text in this way we avoided the introduction of potential errors by not having to recreate the codes manually.
