Collaboration with the Autonomous University of Barcelona

In January 2017, the research group Tradumàtica from the Autonomous University of Barcelona and the translation agency AbroadLink signed a co-operation agreement with the aim of creating a regulated brand in order to establish collaborations for the development and application of machine translation and of technologies applied to translation in general.

The research group Tradumàtica was the first research group in the translation field to investigate the impact of technologies applied to translation. The group has three main lines of investigation: translation technologies, terminology applied to translation and documentation applied to translation.

Under the agreement signed, both AbroadLink and Tradumàtica formally expressed their interest in receiving advice and/or mutual training related to translation and its applied technologies within the framework of the group's investigation projects. They also agreed to establish active partnerships in relation to Tradumàtica's official Master’s degree to advertise the company’s products and services through conferences and workshops conveyed to students of the Master’s, as well as offering the possibility for students to carry out practical training at AbroadLink.
